Oh, you got "money money"
That ain’t no REAL MONEY…
$30-60K is POCKET money these days…
What I used to think was real money was crumbs and crumbs ain’t cutting it for me as a grown ass woman no more. I NEED THAT BAG. I need plenty zero’s after the first second and third.
I want to have so much money that I forget I had that milly stashed away in my offshore account.
I’m not gonna lie, sometimes I lose hope in the essence that the vision I have for myself could actually become my reality one day. Like am I really gonna be that “bitch”. Am I really gonna get that Yacht I want with my name on it? House with the gate sitting on acres? 8 bedrooms 4 bathrooms? Traveling the world in a private jet avoiding security clearance?
CAN I REALLY MANIFEST MY THOUGHTS INTO A REALITY?
Sometimes that shit just seems so unobtainable and unrealistic. I’m not even trying to be negative. I do think highly of myself and my talents enough to know “I got it” and you should feel the same.
The way society got shit set up for us millennial these days is CRAZY. It’s literally a blueprint to poverty and I’m not ok with that. They want us to struggle and die poor with all the chemicals in the food they give us…. shit is too sad. I’m in the middle of wanting to get back on my healthy lifestyle again eating non processed foods, non-GMO, organic etc but it’s simply to EXPENSIVE and it’s killing my pockets!
THE COST OF LIVING HAS GONE UP DRAMATICALLY.
“If you moved from San Francisco to Phoenix, for example, you’d need only $32,936 to replace a $60,000 salary — because the cost of living would be 45% lower, according to a NerdWallet calculator. And if you moved from New York City to Raleigh, North Carolina, you’d need only $24,584 to replace a $60,000 salary, and living costs would be 59% lower.” (source: mic.com)
In other words, you could live off $25,000 residing somewhere like Raleigh, NC but need AT LEAST $60,000 in New York City.
TELL ME THAT YOUR LIVING COMFORTABLY ON A $25,000-$40,000 SALARY LIVING IN NEW YORK CUZ YOU A LIE!
Our cost of living has skyrocketed but our pay HAS NOT.
Why are there folks out there who’ve obtained a Bachelor’s degree, $60,000 in debt and being offered starting pay of $14.00 an hour???
HERE’S ANOTHER ONE:
“Alas, when you adjust for inflation, people in the United States make only about 10% more than they did in 1973, according to data from the Brookings Institution, despite rising costs of living in several key categories. Those include the inflation-adjusted price of a home, which grew about 83% between 1970 and 2000, according to theCensus Bureau,” (source: mic.com)
To put it in layman’s terms…
Ideally I look at our struggle as a black hole, that most of us are having a REALLY hard time getting out of. I truly feel as though my life is in SHAMBLES when it comes down to all these bills and money management etc. I clear up one thing and 10 MORE THINGS COME AFTER! I catch NO breaks!
The changes in society have had MAJOR IMPACTS ON ALL OF US.
I don’t know if you’ve recognized or not but the changes are very REAL. At this point in my blogging and writing career I truly feel that all the money is gone. I feel like I came late in the game and all the OG’S took everything. I often think to myself is there still money to be made doing what I’m doing???
Breaking it down,
If you are a creative, blogger, entrepreneur etc you can probably feel this.
Twitter, Instagram, Facebook etc is nothing new, so with that being said, if you didn’t jump on the wave at the time, it might be difficult to create an online presence now. Also, with the growth and also the misuse of Facebook, etc their have been some MAJOR CHANGES.
With Facebook and Instagram they have now implemented this ridiculous algorithm that will display certain people’s post over other’s based on popularity etc instead of in the chronological order in which they have been posted.
FOR THE SIMPLE FACT THAT BUSINESS OWNERS NOW HAVE TO PAY A FEE TO HAVE THEIR CONTENT SHOWN TO THEIR FOLLOWERS IS INSANE.
Speaking of that I’ve used Facebook’s AD services and was very unsatisfied with my results. I spent over $50 and didn’t see ANY significant changes in my stats, as well as with using Pinterest.
With that being said, it’s becoming very hard to flourish these days. When I sit back and look at others who are on it’s never in envy, but I do get disappointed when our generation supports non-talented individuals…
SOCIETY HIGHLIGHTS STUPIDITY LEAVING US CREATIVE GENIUSES BEHIND.
AND THAT’S THE PROBLEM.
Their are SO many creative, talented, intelligent, innovative people out there who are literally getting bypassed, but there are children playing with TOYS ON YOUTUBE BRINGING IN MILLIONS.
I find no logic in that.
I mean I do but I don’t want to LOL.
TO ME TALENT, EDUCATION, STYLE AND WHAT SEPARATES YOU FROM THE BUNCH SHOULD BE WHY YOU WIN. NOT JUST “HARD WORK”
The Digital age that were in definitely has it’s pros and it’s cons, but I think what’s most important to remember when chasing that bag is…
YOU STILL HAVE AN ADVANTAGE.
My blog has reached over 70 + COUNTRIES with thanks to the internet and I’m extremely thankful for it. But it doesn’t stop there. That was just the tip of the iceberg.
I NEED 20,000 PEOPLE TO SEE WHAT I’M ON.
My overall point is, even though things are changing in ways that are not necessarily working in our favor, we must continue to keep hustling, networking, marketing and GRINDING. Us millennial do have it rough when it comes to climbing that ladder of success but in the same breath we are also very privileged for people to be able to see us and support us ALL AROUND THE WORLD.
